Not only are they in-laws because of her cousin's marriage to his brother, but during spring break in college, they had a brief encounter when he kissed her, but Jordan doesn't remember her. He has a reputation for being a player, and Sera, who has her guard up high, is adamant that she won't fall for him. When she gets into a car accident late at night and Jordan comes to her aid, the two end up passionately reconnecting. Sera eventually succumbs to Jordan's charm, but when the media leaks a story about a scandalous event from his past, Sera questions whether Jordan's intentions are real, or if she is just another one of his trophies.
