Power to One is the life story of a single mother, Wenda Throckmorton. She is currently a retired Army Major of 26 years. Born in Bronxville, NY, but raised in Elizabeth City, NC; her military career began in 1993 as an Enlisted Soldier and ended in 2019 at Fort Jackson, SC. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Elizabeth City State University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University. On January 5, 2020, she became a member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Beta Beta Zeta Chapter of Columbia, SC. While serving in the Armed Forces, she was still a single parent and wanted to inspire and encourage other single parents to never give up and to follow their dreams.
