Preterism is believing that all the prophecies about the end time have been fulfilled. There are two primary views of preterism: the first is full or total preterism and the second is called partial preterism. Followers of the full/total preterism view believe that all the prophecies concerning the end time were fulfilled by 70 A.D., during the time of the generation that was alive when Jesus Christ was crucified.
Partial preterists believe that all the prophecies in Revelation chapters one through nineteen were fulfilled by 70 A.D. when the Temple was destroyed by the Romans. However, partial preterists believe that the rapture described in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 has not happened yet.
