This book had to be written.  In my work as an educator,  speaker,  and coach I am encountering more and more youth who lack maturity and resilience.  They give up when they are challenged, retreat under pressure, and make excuses for their failures.

With so many odds stacked against our young people many of them don't believe they can win in life. And as a result, I've seen a lot of potential wasted, excuses made, and a series of bad decisions.

My goal is to equip, empower, and encourage young people to rise up and prevail against all odds.

The strategies that I discuss in this book are sure to help our young people:

Former college athlete, Brandon Sweeney grew up fatherless in the inner city of Akron, OH. He chose to pursue a dream of playing in the NFL to escape the traps of the inner city.
