About the Author

I am Suzan Boshouwers, author and illustrator. In 1993 I got my degree in illustration from the Academy of Visual Arts in Den Bosch, after which I enjoyed a writing course. I write commissioned educational texts and published a few picture books, some of which I illustrated too. With my husband and my son I live in Vught (the Netherlands). My son is my big source of inspiration: if I couldn’t follow his inquisitive view of the world, I wouldn’t be able to write books.

Marjolein Hund (1977) grew up in Monnickendam. As a child, she was always drawing, painting, pasting and cutting. She was a real child of the outdoors and was very creative: she made her own toys with the materials she found on the street. She talked to trees, gave names to plants and let them all play a part in her fantasy world. When she was young, she won several coloring competitions and from early on she knew she wanted to ‘do something with drawing’. Currently, she lives in Amsterdam with her husband and two children.
