Jody Weiner was born and raised in Chicago where he defended criminal cases before moving to California to practice civil law and begin his writing career. His clients have ranged from a death row inmate to an NBA All-Star, from an inventor of the MRI machine to Koko the signing gorilla. Weiner serves on the board of directors of a non-profit foundation supporting artists, and regularly donates legal services to those in need.
