Description: This review for the progressive care certification exam covers the major system content on the exam as well as ethics and behavior. In each section, there is a review of major material and then questions with answers and rationales.
Purpose: The purpose is to prepare nurses for the PCCN exam.
Audience: The audience is nurses interested in taking the PCCN exam.
Features: The book presents review material in a comprehensive and thorough manner for each of the system sections. Additional sections cover multiorgan problems, wound care, ethics and behavior. Each section ends with questions and answers with rationales. The book is very comprehensive.
Assessment: This book is thorough, offering a detailed review and testing for any nurse interested in taking the PCCN exam. The authors do a good job with test questions and rationales. This second edition is needed because of changes in healthcare and the exam. Ethics, behavior, and some other additional information have been added to this second edition.
