About the Author

Joseph W. DeCarlo is a Certified Property Manager (CPM). He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in California, New York and North Carolina, and the managing partner of JD Property Management, Inc., located in Costa Mesa, California. He achieved his MBA from Syracuse University. Joe is a retired Professor of Real Estate at Coastline Community College; he is also a GRI and was a master instructor for the California Association of Realtors (CAR), former National Faculty member for the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Additionally, Joe is an owner of over 150 units himself.
