Overview

The "Ready Reader" series is three books that set a barely-now-reader on track for reading. This Book Two edition has 17 illustrated stories and follows the theme of Book One with additional characters and kid-friendly reading vocabulary.

I wrote this material to use in my tutorial service and it has never failed to teach non-reading first grade students to read. These students have been referred to me by their teachers who were concerned that the children would have to repeat first grade. None of them EVER had to repeat that year. They all went on to second grade with strong reading skills.

After completion of Ready Reader Book Three, students are able to read a wide selection of early books and achievement builds steadily.

These books are also well suited to students who are learning English as a second language.
