Katherine Elizabeth Long, a brain aneurysm survivor, draws on her over 20 years as a technology executive, years of work with kids and nonprofits, and her own experience as a Brain Aneurysm Survivor. She is an author and the founder of the Exploring Paths® program in NYC and the Exploring Paths™ web and mobile application for explorers, destinations, and subject matter experts alike. Originally from Del Rio, Texas, she spent summers in Southern Louisiana and New Orleans, has lived and studied throughout the US and Europe, and has traveled the world for work and fun. Her parents instilled gratitude and goal-setting practices in her and her brother at a young age, and it is those practices that set them up for success.
She instills those same practices in students today through her program, applications, & workbooks. Katherine holds a BA from Texas Christian University and an MSc from the London School of Economics; is an advocate for the Brain Aneursym Foundation and the YMCA, served as Board Chair for the Chinatown YMCA in NYC, has held several board positions, has worked with youth for over 20 years, and has won multiple awards for her efforts with Exploring Paths, including NY'1's New Yorker of the Week & Friend of Marimekko for Int'l Women's Day.
