About the Author

Regina Marie Bernet, OP is a Dominican Sister from Sacred Heart Convent in Springfield, Illinois. Besides working with incarcerated men at a prison, she teaches enrichment classes and is a spiritual companion at her Motherhouse. Bernet taught school, grades kindergarten through twelfth, and was a principal in Chicago area grade schools. She was director of a program for children and young adults who experienced death or divorce in their family, and worked as an Art Therapist that included helping recovering prostitutes and elementary school students and their families.
