Overview

A motivational memoir which explores the author's journey of self-reflection in an attempt to seek true fulfillment. Asking the questions : what is success? Who defined it? Why has society defined it as monetary wealth? Why do we sacrifice everything in our pursuit thereof?
The journey is sparked by the circumstances of the author's professional and personal life, a Joe Rogan podcast with Naval Ravikant and various other discoveries. Some time later the author finds himself living in a small town in Italy disentangled from his pursuit of money and status.
The world has changed significantly over the last few decades, yet we apply the same rules to our lives. We set the same outdated goals as our predecessors and it causes great unhappiness to an entire generation.
The author furthermore explores certain views of Carl Jung, Viktor Frankl, Naval Ravikant, Eckhart Tolle and others on this journey in seeking happiness.

About the Author

Joe is a former attorney (current legal consultant), husband and father. After some self-reflection he recently packed his stuff and left the hustle and bustle for a different life with his family in Italy. He is in the process of a much needed reinvention as he slowly came to realize that, amongst many other things, the true path to happiness involves aspiring to be a modern Renaissance Man or Woman. He enjoys red wine and thinking about thinking. He is currently being taught Italian by his three-year old son.
