Overview

Member of the South Korean boy band Big Bang, Taeyang delivered a debut solo album in the form of 2010's Solar, and followed it four years later with Rise. Rise continued Taeyang's work with songwriters and producers Choice37 and Teddy Park, who contributed to Solar, but also included collaborations from Boys Noize, JHart, Happy Perez, and Big Bang bandmate G-Dragon. The songs employ the same K-Pop ear candy production and radio-friendly beats that made both his solo debut and his work in Big Bang so catchy and bright. ~ Fred Thomas
