About the Author

Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Marion Rea Brian spent her early years riding streetcars and taking in all the magnificent sights of the Crescent City. As a certified instructor with a focus on student achievement and special education, her writing has allowed her to bring her passions for New Orleans and children together. Brian is a member of the National Association for Gifted Educators and lives in Georgia with her husband.

Since she began coloring on walls as a child, Jennifer Lindsley has created artwork in almost every medium. She received her bachelor of arts in design technology from University of Northern Colorado and a license in art education K-12 from North Carolina Central University. Since returning to Louisiana, Lindsley has taught age-specific, specialty art classes for children and adults.
