About the Author

After a number of times hearing me sigh and say, "This book is terrible. I could write something better," my husband said, "Then do it!" I took the dare and after years of writing poetry and children's stories as a hobby, I sat down to write a novel.
A cozy, little mystery seemed right. The result is Roses and Daisies and Death, Oh My! an off-beat mystery that draws on a lifetime spent in suburban Washington DC, the wonderful, slightly eccentric people I grew up with, and the odd assortment of pets I've had over the years.
I grew up in Washington DC and College Park, MD with four sisters and one brother. I worked part-time for the most part while we raised our children and am now retired.
I live with my husband, Tom, in Bowie Maryland. In addition to writing, I enjoy time with my children, grandchildren and my large extended family. I like to travel when I can, refurbish old furniture, and collect family stories and recipes for the 'family cookbook.' I love historic homes and am a docent at Riversdale Mansion in Riverdale, MD.
