Overview

fifty years after his three tours in Vietnam PTSD afflicted 71-year-old, Anthony Tapene leads an empty, solitary life. Suicidal fantasies bloom daily until an envelope containing a list of names and a thumb drive arrives in the mail. He senses it must be important, which gives him the first feeling of power he's had in 50 years. Power comes at a price. The day the envelope arrives, deadly visitors follow; and they keep coming.

The cops aren't far behind. Recently promoted lieutenant, Michael Hopkins is sent to find Tapene and the thumb drive before powerful people kill Anthony and him to retrieve it.

'Rumors' is an exciting thriller with gutsy characters and unexpected twists. Dougherty writes with a unique introspective and easy style as he throws powerful but struggling characters into a world that betrayed them
