About the Author

Joseph Lani is a retired detective sergeant who has commanded several robbery and detective squads in the NYC Police Department. He was assigned to the Fresh Kills Landfill command center after the attacks on the World Trade Center. He has worked as a celebrity bodyguard, has appeared on crossing-over radio shows and television, and was the subject of an article by the St. Petersburg Times “Near Death Yields Sixth Sense.” His story was told in part in the book Ghost Stories of Tampa Bay by Kim Cool. Rosemary Altea, who is recognized as one of the most renowned mediums in the world said about Joe, “I think you are a connector with the spirit world, I think you have a real gift, the responsibility of knowing is huge and you have to harness what you have.” He is a survival evidence medium in Staten Island, New York, where he lives with his wife Carole, of 32 years, his daughter Jessica, two dogs, four cats, and seven birds.
