About the Author

Living near the Mississippi River bluffs of northern Iowa, my wife and I enjoy the scenic views and great living of small town America. Our two oldest boys live in northwest Wisconsin and enjoy hunting and fishing, like most that live in the area. Our next son is going to college in Iowa's UNI, while our oldest daughter is starting college in Minneapolis area. Our youngest daughter is still in school and as well.

We just became grandparents in December and are planning to spoil our new granddaughter, Laney, every time we see her.

On a personal note, I was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and lived in more states than I recall as I grew up, including a stint in Madagascar, Africa. Moving every year didn't allow for making many long term friendships so I became fascinated with stories and movies of fantasy. I began making notes on my own series for over 20 years, one which had excitement, great depth of characters, and yet was easy to read for those of us with reading disabilities. To make up for my feeling of being stupid as a teenager (Only to find out later that I was severely dyslexic), I became involved in theater, choir, dance and various sports. After high-school, I learned techniques to overcome my challenges and moved into engineering, training, business presentations, and speaking in front of large groups in corporate settings.

I live my life by a system I call "Realm". Respectful, Ethical, Assertive, Legal, and Moral. I've stumbled more than once along the way and I'm sure I will again, but I always come back to these basics to help guide me to move forward.

My family is the highest priority in my life. They have helped me grow and I have learned more from them than I ever could have on my own.
