About the Author

Judy enjoyed diverse career in diagnostic pathology by gaining a B. App Sci (Medical Science) in 1980, but a long held memory of her grandmother 'living' in a nursing home, tipped her into a midlife carer change to study for a B Health Sci. (Leisure & Health). She has worked and volunteered in a variety of facilities, both for-profit and not-for profit, and has taught Certificate 4 Leisure & Health at TAFE for a number of years. Her passion for every resident of Aged Care to have a life worth living, combined with her medical science background inspired a desire to link social science to strategies to create activities that can uphold a satisfying life.
