Scamper with the Peanut Butter Feet

Scamper was a big gray squirrel who lived in Aunt Boo's yard. His greatest enjoyment came from annoying her. He helped himself to the best fruits from her prize orchard, took the biggest nuts from her pecan trees, and ate the golden cornbread she baked for the birds. Scamper made a general nuisance of himself, while constantly dreaming of being king of the backyard. Aunt Boo thought and thought about how she could get even and teach Scamper a lesson at the same time. Her unique, yet simple, solution would teach Scamper to be satisfied with what he had.

About the Author

Patricia Eytcheson Taylor writes children's books about squirrels and horses, including the popular squirrel series "Scamper, the Mischievous Squirrel" and the beloved horse series "Catch A Winner." With her chaplain husband, she co-authored On the Wings of the Wind: A Journey to Faith, describing her personal faith journey and sharing spiritual insights to help other Christians in their own walks with the Lord. She and her husband built a three million dollar corporation with integrity and honesty, then at the death of her husband, she lost it all. Her strong spiritual faith allowed her to find a renewed living relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ through his Holy Spirit. Recently she married a military chaplain and after 9/11 was with military families in Europe.

The co-author of On the Wings of the Wind: A Journey to Faith, Chaplain (LTC) Reverend Doctor James C. Taylor, Retired, has been a Lutheran Military Clergyman for 40 years and recently retired from the U.S. Army Chaplains Corps. He has written and published articles on Faith, Ministry, Marriage and Family Therapy in Psychology Today, and the Military Chaplain's Review. In his various duties in the military he has served as the Burn Ward Chaplain at Brooke Army Medical Hospital, Combat Troop Chaplain, and Command and Post Chaplain at several Posts. He has trained over 300 chaplains and Chaplain Assistants in Spiritual Fitness and Combat Ministry, ministering to a million soldiers and their families.
