Scars That Heal
Lyndie thought she had left her problems in her hometown of Upstate South Carolina when she ran off to college in Charleston. She expected to have a great senior year and move on with the rest of her life. Little did she know, she would meet Brantley, a guy who had the kind of faith in God she had never known. He would challenge her own faith in God and lead her to face a painful memory she had been pushing away for years. Through her newfound relationship with God, she finds the courage to tell her family what had happened to her so many years ago, and she learns that not all scars are permanent and that sometimes, God can use them to tell a story to help others. Scars that Heal is a story that encourages and inspires and encompasses love, faith, and the devastating impact of sexual assault. This is more than a love story between a man and a woman; this is a love story between God and His children and the redeeming healing that only He can provide.

About the Author

Megan Ashley Powell was born and raised in the small town of Dacusville, South Carolina. She grew up with an amazing family, who brought her up in church and taught her what it's like to have a relationship with God. In middle school, she gave her life to the Lord, and since then, she has done her best to get to know Him more and more. After attending a technical college and then transferring to Clemson University, Megan found her love for history and writing, and she decided to become a teacher while also pursuing her dream of being an author. She currently teaches in Greenville, South Carolina, where she learns more about the everyday obstacles young teenagers face, which led her to finish this first novel. Her main goal as a writer and a child of God is to bring glory to Him and to teach young women how merciful His love truly is.
