About the Author

Robert Starnes is not only the author of "The Multifamily Housing Guide - Leasing 101", "The Multifamily Housing Guide - Assistant Manager 101", and "Saving History Series", but he is also the publisher. After being diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, which it is now part of a broader category called ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), at the age of 43, things started to click with him. After being able to identify and manage the parts of ASD he had, he was able to hone in on his creative writing. At a young age he did not like to read, because he had difficulty with the words on the pages in front of him. He knew the words and understood them, but his brain would comprehend them faster than his voice would speak them. This would cause him to either leave out words, or cause him to read very slowly so he could have his eyes go back over the words again, two to three times, before his voice caught up with his brain. This embarrassment would stop him from reading for many years. With this in Robert's mind, he has written his series for anyone that may be going through the same things he went through as a child, or adult, with reading, and is trying to find a way for them to connect with the world of reading. He believes that you can read and write a perfectly great action packed novel that does not folllow the basic writing standards for word count. His mind does not work the same as a traditional writer's does and retains things much more than another person's may, so you will not find very much repeating, or recapping, in his series. You will find action, adventure, and history from the very first chapter to the very end.To Robert, everyone is different and unique, and should be celebrated every day for being just who they are. He finds that when life may get you down, you can always get away in your own imagination with the help of a good book.
Patricia Carpenter has a Masters' Degree in Reading/Language Arts from Florida State University. She grew up in Panama City, Florida, raised her two sons, and began and completed her teaching career.
