Melissa is a life long animal lover. Her first cat, Sam, had many adventures that she wrote about for school projects. Next came her crazy Siamese, Misty Blue. Melissa has had her adventures as well. She was a Park Ranger (where she rescued cats) and has been an elementary school teacher for the past 17 years. She has brought home many “dumped” cats from school, one that was “chipped” but the owners moved and left no forwarding address. Melissa and her very understanding husband live in the the foothills on 5 acres with their collection of cats. Melissa and her husband help out and support APALS, an Amador County animal rescue organization.
