She chafes under his rigid rules and scrutiny, and is frightened of his violent tendencies. As the strong arm of the law extends itself, and others, including a neighbor who is a former victim of abuse, press her for explanations, she puzzles out the truth: her father is a counterfeiter, and he'll do anything to protect himself.
