About the Author

Dr. Sutton is a highly requested motivational speaker, author and workshop facilitator. He is the host of his own television and radio show in Houston Texas that highlights healthcare professionals across the U.S. with a major focus on education. He received his medical degree from UT Houston Medical School. He is a medical consultant and CEO of the MD Initiative Prep Corporation. As CEO, he has helped the company grow from one student in 2009 to over three hundred students in 2013. One of his most prized programs is his Test Anxiety Solutions module.

His blend of energy and intelligence leaves his audience wanting more. He has spoken to over 10,000 students in 2013 alone, all across the United States. While some would call him that energy boost they need, he feels that his true calling is to bring out the potential that is nestled inside each and every individual. He was homeless in his senior year of high school and spent three weeks sleeping behind a vacant elementary school. How he found the courage to continue going to school, studying with a flashlight while sleeping on concrete is a message that students need to hear. He delivers this message in his new book, See It Through HUSTLE for success.

Prior to entering the school of medicine Dr. Sutton served as a Beaumont Police Officer and Harris County Officer for 10 years. He has served as the President of the Student National Medical Association UT Houston Chapter and Director of the Youth Leadership Forum. He has served on the board for the Houston Homeless Coalition and Safety Coalition for the UT Health Science Center. He was the invited keynote speaker for Covenant House International in New York City, honoring for former first ladys Barbara and Laura Bush.

Dr. Sutton is a member of the American Medical Association and a medical school admissions interviewer. He is an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, has three wonderful children and one new grandson and is an avid golfer.
