Overview

DRAGONS AND OGRES AND WOLVES, OH MY! Fox Strongbow is in training to become an elite guardian known as a Sentinel. Riding on the feathery backs of giant predatory birds, his final test takes him and his mentor Eldin to a remote island to test the young boy's skills. On their return from the island, the unthinkable happens... a ruthless black dragon attacks the two riders. Eldin is possessed by the dark soul of the beast and becomes a creature known as Drago. Through Eldin's memories, Drago learns the location of a key that unlocks an ancient artifact said to be more powerful than anything in the world. Drago will stop at nothing to obtain this artifact and the power it could bestow upon him. Fox, along with an elven wizard named Enob and two agents from the Incantation Enforcement Agency, take on a quest to stop Drago before he can recover the object that was never meant to be found.

"CRRZAAP...!!!!
The electrostatic energy blast exploded across the wall of the building and left a large crevice in the smooth, polished granite surface, right next to the howler. The fleeing creature looked at the result of the misplaced shot and grinned nastily. Smoke from the burn began to irritate its nostrils, and it wrinkled its flat nose at the smoldering hole and glowered back at the two law enforcement agents in pursuit. Agent Murdox looked at the glowing cavity with distaste and turned to Kase, his young partner. "Nice shooting, Texas," he jeered. "Now you've just managed to make it angrier." Grinding its massive claws right into the stone, the howler climbed vertically up the wall before turning its cat-like head toward the shooter and his partner. The creature gazed down at the pair with its six fiery red eyes, and its grin turned to a ferocious growl. The beast howled into the night, opening its maw wide to expose a mouthful of razor-sharp teeth."
