Sex and the Stewardess
In the wake of the great popular success of Coffee, Tea, or Me (purportedly by a pair of personable airline hostesses, but actually written by the equally personable Donald Bain), Irwin Stein of Lancer Books asked John Warren Wells to turn his attention to the same topic. Would that all requests from publishers were as pleasantly fulfilled.

Heres the blurb that appeared on the Lancer edition:

Did she serve you yesterday?

She is every man's dream mistress, pleasant and poised, cool under stress, always smiling and--because she is booked on another flight tomorrow morning--disposable...

Lynn, the Now Girl; Tracy, the Damn Good Kid; Shirl, the Lesbian in the sky; Lauren, the Swinger; Rona, the Freak-Out; Bambi, the Old Maid; Gillian, the Hooker; Kim, the Hound.

In a book that picks up where Coffee, Tea, or Me? left off, eight major airline stewardesses show you the down-to-earth reality behind the dream: the with-whoms, wheres, and astonishing hows in the everyday sex lives of America's most glamorous working girls.

Oh, Irwin. Theyre stewardesses with major airlines, not major airline stewardesses. Never mind...

About the Author

About The Author
Lawrence Block has been writing award-winning mystery and suspense fiction for half a century. As John Warren Wells, he wrote eighteen books during the 1970s consisting of case studies of human sexual behavior. His most recent novels are HIT ME, featuring Keller, and A DROP OF THE HARD STUFF, featuring Matthew Scudder, who will be played by Liam Neeson in the forthcoming film, A WALK AMONG THE TOMBSTONES. Several of his books have been filmed, although not terribly well. He's well known for his books for writers, including the classic TELLING LIES FOR FUN & PROFIT, and THE LIAR'S BIBLE. In addition to prose works, he has written episodic television (TILT!) and the Wong Kar-wai film, MY BLUEBERRY NIGHTS. He is a modest and humble fellow, although you would never guess as much from this biographical note.
