Even though Rosie Reynolds is a witch, her father is a shifter. That means shifters have always been a big part of her world. When Rosie's dad comes back to town, there's a new hierarchy for the familiar pack that's formed in Rosie's life.
Things take a turn from awkward to dangerous when a slew of shifters arrive in Greylock Cove, all of which are less-than savory characters. When Rosie's partner, Miles, is accused of killing one of those shifters, Rosie's world is turned upside down.
Now, with Miles framed for murder, and mobster-like shifters sticking around to make sure he takes the fall, Rosie is working double time to clear Miles's name. And then another person is killed!
Something more than Miles being framed for murder is going on in Greylock Cove. Shifters, both working for the law and against it, are plotting their own schemes. And it's up to Rosie to figure it all out before something terrible happens.
