Short Takes
Three stories with interesting characters.
(1) Clint is moving from his home place to a retirement home in the city. The old farm is being sold because his two boys need the money. They are trying to persuade him that things will be better at "the home." But, they didn't tell him at first that he had to give up his dog.
(2) Maude is a gentle and caring person — but lacks certain social graces. She longs for the approval of her "back east" family, but her eating establishment is not very impressive — nor is her clientele. Could it be that politicians could pitch in to help?
(3) A rodeo roper seems to have found a shortcut to fame and fortune. It was all that dizzy Belle Morgan's fault that he loses his magical catch rope.
