K-Gr 2Tilly the mole is back for her third adventure in this beginning reader. Here, she is so excited about snow falling that she forgets all about Valentine's Day. Mr. Bunny hints that there is something in her mailbox, but when she checks it out, her glasses are so covered with snow that she doesn't see the valentines sticking out. Mr. Bunny finally comes back to visit Tilly and wipes her glasses off so she can find her holiday cards. Hoban's simple text and trademark illustrations make this story a fine addition for easy-reader collections. Fans of Hoban's Arthur the chimp, and of Frances the badger, will enjoy Tilly's escapades.Lisa Gangemi Krapp, Sousa Elementary School, Port Washington, NY
