Overview

Most Christians know the call of Jesus is radical. Most Christians want to answer that radical call. However, most of us are not living the model, New Testament standard of discipleship. Why? It's not because we are unaware of the call. Nor is it because we are unable to answer the call. We are simply not sure what the call in action looks like on a daily basis. We're not sure whether to get tattoos of the word "Nazarite" or to try a 40-day fast. The premise of Simple Devotion is that answering the radical call is much more simple than we realized. Our daily devotion moves God more than our spectacular activity. We answer the radical call through a life of simple devotion.

About the Author

Since the fall of 2003, Micah Wood has been a part of the Ramp’s ministry team in Hamilton, Alabama, where tens of thousands of young people have had their lives transformed by the power and presence of God. Micah’s passion is for people to understand the genuine features of Christianity and to see them respond with a wholehearted commitment. He has developed into one of the Ramp’s primary teachers, often featured on the Ramp’s podcasts and teaching series. He also serves as Associate Director for the Ramp School of Ministry, which launched in August of 2010. Micah lives in Hamilton with his wife, Delana, and their three children. For more information about the Ramp, visit www.theramp.org.

Samuel Bentley joined the Ramp’s ministry team in 2000. He desires to see both the corporate body of Christ and individual believers governed by the principles of the kingdom rather than the trends of the culture. Samuel is the Ramp’s C.F.O., and he regularly contributes in the ministry of the Word. As part of the Ramp’s pastoral staff, he helps to discern the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit for the direction of the ministry. Samuel lives in Hamilton with his wife, Lauren, and their four children.
