About the Author

Joanne Vassallo Jamrosz has twenty three years experience as a contributing writer with United States Figure Skating. She is the author of numerous articles for Skating Magazine and she works as a contributing writer for U.S.Figure Skating’s web page “Club Spotlight”. She was also a contributor for the Nationally recognized figure skating Ice Network and Professional Skaters Magazine. She covers numerous skating events for U.S. Figure Skating in the North Atlantic region.

Joanne is the author of the popular Skating Forward Series. Three of Joanne’s books, Still Skating Forward, Skating with the World and Forever Skating Forward are Purple Dragonfly Children’s Book Award winners. Skating with the World received the Reader’s Favorite Bronze Medal in Young Adult Nonfiction. Joanne currently resides in Upstate, New York with her husband, Gregory, a veterinarian, and their golden retriever, April. Skating Forward: Olympic Memories, Olympic Spirit is her fifth book.
