The territory of Arizona is overrun by a bloodthirsty gang of highwaymen, the Banditos Rojos. However, one man in their ranks deserts and brings with him a wealth of secrets. In response, the US Army hires veteran Walter Pyke to find and rescue the fugitive. But he will not be alone. A young woman, Charlotte Shepherd, loses her livelihood to the Rojos. Out of desperation, she leaves her home and embraces the deadly wilderness to find the fugitive and kill him. When she catches up with Pyke and sees the gravity of her task, her own motivation comes into question. Over 500 miles of pursuit and evasion await them all, and the territory is full of men who want nothing more than to see this mysterious runaway bandit dead.
