As the fleet pierced through the morning haze, a sudden shudder ran through the Tempest. A deafening roar eclipsed the sound of the propellers-the first cannon shot from the Empire's armada tearing through the fog. Dark shapes loomed ahead, massive ironclad behemoths emerging like specters from the mist, their cannons bristling with lethal intent.

"Brace for impact!" Bonnie roared, her voice the rallying cry amidst chaos. The crew scrambled, their movements a frenzied dance as they manned their battle stations. A second volley thundered across the divide, splintering wood and metal in its hunger for destruction.

About the Author

Eric was born and raised in Central Florida, where he spent a lot of time near the water. He grew up loving the ocean, and the stories of pirates that raided the coast of Florida. These stories helped his imagination grow, and inspired him to write several short stories over his life. As he got to travel the world he heard the stories of other pirates across South East Asia, and Europe. These tales of swashbuckling further spurred his imagination to expand on his earlier childhood short stories.
