A ranch dog and a wolf face the challenges of growing up—together.

When a puppy named Sky learns that his littermate has been chosen to be a working dog on the ranch and he has been left behind to be a house pet, he yearns for a chance to prove himself. Wandering into the nearby forest one day, he meets a young wolf named Timby, who is also trying to learn his place within his pack.
