About the Author

I'm Camila Ozores, master in Speech-Language Pathology, mother and writer.

During my 24 years of clinical and academic experience as a speech therapist, I have based my work on the development of inclusive treatments, studies and clinical initiatives. Taking care of each patient as a unique individual and their subjectivity.

I believe that this care generates functional, emotional and social differences, and is even capable of transforming people, relationships and trajectories.

Today my focus is on sharing those experiences. Reverberating techniques, exercises, studies and, above all, positive results and stories. So that, in addition to the clinic, people who live in difference are stimulated by their capacities, abilities and efficiencies.

In this process of resignifying the way we look at differences, I created the project "A DIFFERENCE THAT UNITE US” a trilogy of kid’s books that convey messages of empathy, acceptance and, above all, strength. Generating positive impacts in the lives of those who see themselves differently, or see the other differently.

And it is with great joy that I share with you the first title of the trilogy, the book "SMILE WITH THE HEART".

With a story, light and playful, the book shows kids that "differences" are just a characteristic and that we must tread paths that strengthen equality and the ability to achieve each other.
