Clark, daughter of suspense writer Mary Higgins Clark, narrates this audiobook that features the second appearance of her detective, Regan Reilly. Reilly, visiting Miami for a friend's wedding, helps out her friend's uncle Richie Blossom, who has invented a new type of pantyhose that is durable beyond belief. The race is on to sell the rights to Blossom's hosiery in time to purchase the retirement home where he and his friends live. Soon, the lives of both Blossom and Reilly are threatened, as the inventor attempts to sell his creation to manufacturers at a pantyhose convention. This mystery is light and breezy, and the story moves along briskly as various characters maneuver to attain their goals. Clark has a fine talent for giving many of the characters distinctive voices, but her performance is marred in places by distracting pauses that break the flow of the narration.
