About the Author

Robert Luckett has worked in the public safety profession for more than four decades. His career has spanned both the fire service and law enforcement. He has held positions as a paramedic, fire inspector, 911 supervisor, assistant emergency manager, fire marshal, crime scene investigator, and custody officer. Luckett was the Chief Deputy Fire Marshal for the Alexandria Virginia Fire Department during the investigation.
Throughout his professional career, Luckett has served as an instructor and mentor. He has taught and lectured for the Virginia Fire Marshal Academy, the Virginia Department of Fire Programs, the Ocean City, Maryland Police Department, and the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy. Bob has been awarded several commendations and awards for his work over the years.
He has been married to his wife, Caryn, for forty-four years. They live in Fenwick Island, Delaware. Luckett played center on the TC Williams Titans football team made famous in the Disney movie Remember the Titans.
