Book 17: GOD ‘S WITNESS IN MY WORLD
Intentional evangelism via spiritual farming is detailed for us in the Gospel books by none other thean the Lord Jesus Himself. Complicated it is not. The focal point of those in control seems Hell-bent of enjoying life while there still is time. And time is in short supply and in the process of running out. The environmentalist proclaims that we are running out of time to save the planet and humanity. The political candidate says you must elect him or her because we are running out of time.
God gives his people every opportunity to mature. We have food from the Word of God, teaching, fellowship and nurturing. We have more Bibles, Christian music, books, seminars, Bible studies than every before. Yet, some people never show evidence of Zoa or Spiritual Life.
You may be asking, what is spiritual farming? Preparing the soil, sowing and reaping are all an essential part of winning the lost on a Won by One basis. The Laws of Sowing and Reaping and Spiritual Farming are near and dear to God’s heart.
Farming was linked to spiritual principles. For example, sowing mixed seed was prohibited (Deuteronomy 22:9); harvest times were celebration times (Exodus 34:22), and Jesus spoke of areas as being fields of harvest (John 4:34ff), and Paul used the illustration of muzzling the ox to speak of caring for ministers of the Gospel (I Corinthians 9:9ff); there are many other examples (including most notably Galatians 6:6-8).
God uses farming to teach us about “life” about “life’s principles”. God, known for His laws is an orderly God and establishes His many laws—spiritual and natural—for all to benefit from and enjoy.

‘And when Christ Who is our Life’. What is the World does that mean? Have you ever heard someone say that some of us are so Heavenly-minded that we are no Earthly good? I guess that was meant to say that Heaven can wait. Are your serving God half-heartedly? How is that working for you? Are you convinced that only Christ can live the Christian ZoaLife in us, through us, as us. Our trying in ourselves to be Christlike is as much sin for us as it was for the satan. The ignorance and arrogance display by him was unequaled as he declared that he wanted to be ‘like’ the Most High God. Why waste your time when He already is YOUR LIFE?
In the New Testament, Jesus is presented to us not only as God, the Second Person within the divine Trinity of Father, Son and Spirit, but also as perfect humanity, the one who shed the outer manifestation of his divine glory in the womb of Mary, to be fully clothed with our humanity. You could say that he was still as much God as if he had never been human, but had become as much human as if he had never been God. While on earth he experienced sorrow (John 11:35), hunger (Matthew 4:2), tiredness (John 4:6) and pain (Hebrews 5:8), yet without succumbing to sin or disobedience to his Father (Hebrews 4:15). He demonstrated what true Sonship is all about. God spoke from heaven at his baptism by John in the river Jordan: “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17).
According to Scripture, humans are not only the highest of God’s acts of creation, they are created in the “likeness” or “image” of God. “Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, in our likeness’...So God created man in his own image...male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:26, 27).
