Overview

Southern Fried Crazy tells the story of not just Red Stork but of his lesbian cousin, his mistress who settles down with a black man, and a wealthy business man who has a hidden Native American family his siblings will not accept.

Red motioned slowly towards the radio. He turned it off and looked towards the woman who had hardened blood on her lip and chin. She looked asleep but as he got closer, her lips were quivering.

I'm not familiar with the south but the story was interesting. It made me feel as if I was seeing the story in front of my eyes. It was horrifying and realistic.

I like fiction about the deep south. The dialect used was right out of rural Mississippi. It reminded me of how isolated it is in the country. I enjoyed the book.

Red had the rifle in his hand and headed towards the house. Red had missed his twelve o'clock supper. It was well past one o'clock. He opened the back door and let the screen door swing closed. The house was eerily quiet.

This was a great set up for the action that was about to happen.
