Overview

Nik Turner's 1995 release, Space Ritual, explores variations on electronica, from the briskly percussive "Ghost Dance" to the rhythmic "Orgone Accumulator." And if listeners think there's a resemblance between Turner's work and and Helios Creed's, they are perceptive, as Helios Creed is both a performer on Space Ritual and also a co-author of several album cuts. Additionally, several of the same supporting musicians, for example, Del Dettmar and Paul Della Pelle, perform with both Helios Creed and Turner. So there are a lot of shared influences and both artists incorporate science fiction themes, as this album's title certainly shows. Chances are, listeners who enjoy Helios Creed and Chrome will also appreciate Nik Turner's work as well. ~ Murrday Fisher
