Overview

The Pines second album finds multi-instrumentalists Benson Ramsey and David Huckfelt continuing in the largely acoustic indie category, mournful, sometimes atmospheric -- to be honest, not so different from a thousand other bands plying their trade around the world. The cover of the traditional "Careless Love" is fair, and their own "Don't Let Me Go" has its memorable moments. For the most part, however, there's very little to distinguish this, either in writing or performance ~ Chris Nickson
