Overview

It is important spiritually -- and eternally -- within the Mormon culture for married couples to have babies. So, when many residents living in Central Utah have trouble living up to that standard, they turn to fertility specialist LaMont DeWitt for help. Lo and behold, the doctor has a special talent for producing babies -- that look a lot like himself. Some patients are less than tickled with this outcome and appeal to church and civil authorities to intervene. Ultimately, they must take the matter into their own hands.

About the Author

Diane Marie Cole wrote editorials for The Salt Lake Tribune when she came upon a news story that sparked her imagination and led to a satire reflecting her cultural roots. This writer of two other independent books, one a historical memoir and the other a novel, taught high school English and journalism before returning to the newspaper that supported her college years at the University of Utah. She is married to Dennis Green, a retired graphic artist who created the cover of this book and dabbles in sculpture and other fine art at their home in Southern California.
