SPIRIT DANCE: An Uncommon Love Story
At one time or another most people have felt they were being watched, guided, or nudged by an unseen force. Typically, most shrug it off as a figment of their imagination rather than considering it may be a spirit entity trying to get their attention. The Sioux call it part of The Great Mystery. These Traditions teach us that our loved ones never abandon us when they die, that they merely cross over to a place where they can still influence us to take the proper steps that will benefit our individual destinies, as well as the future of humanity.
This novel is a modern-day, love story, adventure, mystery about rediscovering those soulful connections that have been virtually lost in the high-tech whirlwind of modern society. It begins with a group of wonderful, imperfect, people, who have been providentially drawn to a small town on the fringes of a modern city to be the stepping stones of a greater purpose. Two of them have been fortunate enough to have experienced the life changing visit of a spirit helper. This story is about making the connections that reveal the broader sense of who we are so that we might know the path to our full potential...
When a Spirit Helper sends an abused mixed-breed Sioux woman and a disillusioned Montana Cowboy down converging paths, it presents an awkward situation for two people who have yet to overcome their self-imposed obstacles of bitterness and resentment. Nevertheless, after acquaintances convince them to try a computer dating service; they begin a shaky friendship that eventually burgeons into a heartfelt union. One where Andy learns the value of forgiveness, and Lynn finally experiences the bliss of being the brightest star in someone's life.
As their relationship deepens, they discover they have been visited by the same ethereal guide, and Lynn discloses she has been graced with a spirit-gift that she is only beginning to understand. These revelations convince them they were meant to find each other, but they do not yet know why. Through Lynn's quest to reclaim her lost heritage she recalls many of her father and grandmother's teachings. She shares them with Andy and together they embrace Nature's Way as their spiritual walk, and they begin to follow the Red Road principals of her people. This strengthens their connection to the Great Mystery and enables them to hear the voice of their hearts more clearly.
Their lives are profoundly changed when a young boy comes into their lives that eventually helps rescue them from dire straits. When it is consequently revealed that they are all part of a stratagem being orchestrated through the combined efforts of her deceased father and an old shaman acquaintance, they realize just how strongly the temporal world is conjoined to the ethereal, and Lynn recalls her father telling her that there is a universal spirit-ceremony underway that is soon to inaugurate the dawn of a new age; one that we can choose to be a part of— He called it "The Spirit Dance."
