About the Author

Jim Lefko was the sports editor of the San Antonio Express-News from 2015 to 2018. He was previously the sports editor of the Indianapolis Starand the Lafayette (Ind.) Journal and Courier and the deputy sports editor of the San Antonio Light. A University of Texas graduate, Lefko is originally from Kansas City, Missouri.
The San Antonio Express-News is ranked as the fourth-largest daily newspaper in Texas and is one of the leading news sources for South Texas, with offices in San Antonio, Austin, Brownsville, Laredo, and Mexico City.
