Doh (Creative Lettering) curates yet another collection of craft projects, this time focusing on hand-carved stamps. Stamping is an accessible craft with a low barrier for entry—crafters only need a medium to carve, a linoleum cutter or craft knife, ink, and something on which to stamp. After a brief introduction, Doh turns the book over to nine different stamp artists, each of whom presents a selection of simple projects that feature hand-carved stamps. The variety of artists ensures a reasonably diverse range of styles, although most of the designs skew toward the cute or whimsical. VERDICT Stamping isn't just for scrapbookers, and this title will open crafters' eyes to the potential for stamping fabric, wood, and even porcelain.
