Leah Baugh has a bachelor degree in Education and English from Dallas Baptist University. She has published several articles on Yahoo Voices, an internet magazine, and has a personal blog on her farm website. While attending DBU, Leah worked in a local school district. She assisted in an English Language Arts and Reading class for students with learning disabilities and taught several elective classes. Her work with LD students has compelled her to write children’s books that help boost children’s emergent literacy.
Prior to attending DBU, Leah moved to the family’s hundred-year-old farm. After many years in the city, returning to country life has renewed her passion for the outdoors. Now, gardening, animals (especially dogs and horses), and life on the farm provides her with perpetual inspiration for writing.
Leah’s farm, Boone Farm I, is located in North Texas near McKinney and is part of the great history of cotton farms in the South. Leah enjoys spending time in her gardens, the daily maintenance of the farm, and watching her granddaughter, Grace, discover nature’s treasures abundant on the farm.
