Overview

In a world dominated by males, Samantha Taylor not only holds her own, but has a winning record as a stock car driver at the dirt track at Fonda Speedway. She is a skilled mechanic who, with the help of her friend and fellow worker, builds her own cars and makes most of her own repairs. Her dream is to become a NASCAR driver and begin to move up in the faster, more challenging ranks of stock car racing on asphalt tracks. About the Author

Besides being a successful school principal, Charles Loomis can best be described as a gear-head. He has raced motorcycles in all events except road racing. He has also maintiained a keen interest in Stock Cars and has served as a pit crew member in some races with friends. As a guest of Ted Marsh Racing he has also been in the pits at Nationwide series races. Charles has said, "I love the machinery and the people in all forms of racing. Great events and good times await all who participate, no matter what level." Charles has capped off his career as an elementary school principal writing exciting books for young people.
