There is a pressing need for gifted and committed student leaders on our college campuses. However, to influence well requires more than leadership tools and techniques. A solid foundational perspective is necessary. Storied Leadership contends that assumptions held about the world are the ultimate foundation of one's perspective on leadership. The stories we believe and tell about the nature of reality hold up our perspectives on leadership and serve as a powerful shaping force. If this is true, then a more accurate story about reality will offer a more authentic paradigm for leadership. Distorted views of reality will always incite distortions in leadership. The biblical narrative, developed through the entirety of the scriptures, helps us to understand the nature of the world, who we are in the world, and where reality is heading. This storied perspective provides a solid groundwork from which to discover the particular call to leadership, what leadership is, and how we-as people in the story-ought to lead. Storied Leadership will take students on a journey of discovery through the scriptures, making clear along the way how this powerful story will transform the way live and lead on campus.
