Bryan Dooley is no stranger to the art of good barbecue. Chef Dooley's love of barbecue encircles every recipe just like the pecan wood smoke that billows around every morsel at Bryan's Black Mountain Barbecue in Cave Creek, Arizona. Dooley brings his restaurant favorites and a look into his childhood and his career through photos, poems, stories and his best recipes that will delight the reader. Chef Dooley gained his knowledge and training from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. After 13 years with the Fairmont Princess Resort in Scottsdale, it was time to set out on his own developing a barbecue restaurant with countless awards of recognition for the best barbecue in Arizona. Awards include: Best of Phoenix, Phoenix Magazine; New Times Best of Phoenix, and Top 10 All American Eats, Arizona Republic. Dooley and his family enjoy all the West has to offer including hiking, rock hunting and of course, the barbecue gatherings with family and friends. Chef Dooley graduated from Northern Arizona University.
